The ultimate human horizon, and not only differing contexts, is at stake here.\u201d<\/p><p align=\"justify\"><em>Diatopical\u00a0<\/em>hermeneutics goes beyond traditional <em>morphological<\/em>\u00a0hermeneutics and diachronical hermeneutics, inasmuch as it \u201ctakes as its point of departure the awareness that the \u201ctopoi\u201d, locations within distinct cultures, cannot be understood with the tools of understanding from only one tradition or culture\u201d (\u201cAutobiografia intellectual\u201d).\u00a0<em>Morphological<\/em>\u00a0hermeneutics deciphers the treasures (<em>morphe<\/em>, forms, values) of a particular culture, a single tradition.\u00a0<em>Diachronical\u00a0<\/em>hermeneutics represents mediation between temporally distant eras in the cultural history of humanity, but still, normally, with reference to a single tradition.<\/p><p align=\"justify\">Seeking, among other things, to break out of the\u00a0<em>hermeneutic circle<\/em>\u00a0created by the limits of a single culture,\u00a0<em>diatopical hermeneutics<\/em>\u00a0attempts \u201cto bring into contact radically different human horizons\u201d, traditions, or cultural locations (<em>topoi<\/em>) in order to achieve a true<em>\u00a0dialogical dialogue<\/em>\u00a0that bears in mind cultural differences. It is the art of arriving at understanding \u201cby going through these different locations\u201d (<em>dia-topos<\/em>).
